Due to the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Blue Mass originally scheduled for this Sunday, April 26 at 2:00 pm at St. Patrick Cathedral had to be cancelled. A Blue Mass is celebrated in appreciation and for the protection of First Responders, and for the repose of the souls of those lost in the line of duty. The name for this Mass is derived from the traditional colour of law enforcement uniforms.

As we cannot gather for the Blue Mass this year, in its place church bells across the City will be rung at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 26, and all are encouraged to pray, whether it be the Rosary, Chaplet of Divine Mercy, Scripture reading, or another devotion, for the safety and protection of all First Responders and Frontline Workers.
